it's friday, and typically our friday posts are lighthearted as we look forward to some time away from our normal routines, but that's not how i feel today. as b mentioned yesterday, our granny is dying from cancer, and it is heartbreaking. it is happening so quickly, and lately, i feel like cancer is everywhere. and it is. so many people and families have to deal with this disease on a daily basis. and that is heartbreaking. there are no words that truly encompass all that i am we are feeling. i came across this poem, and one part of it spoke to me so clearly...

For cancer is so limited---
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot invade the soul.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the spirit.
It cannot cancel Resurrection.
