adventures {part two}

after our short stint in boston, we flew to the little island of nantucket. let me just say that it is absolutely perfect and is everything we'd imagined it would be. everything on the island is unassuming with it's weathered cedar shingles, white trim, and all the natural elements of island life. the roads are paved with cobblestones, and the shops lining the tiny streets offer welcoming signs and boutique finds. there's no rushing about...people walk hand in hand, with their dogs, watch the boats bob up and down in the water,
 partake in delicious food & drink, and enjoy being secluded.
we stayed at the cozy and well appointed white elephant hotel, and had the opportunity to dine at some pretty amazing restaurants like brant point grill, galley beach, ropewalk, the tavern at harbor square, and the yatch club to name a few. the restaurants, coffee shops, and bars add to the relaxed atmosphere of the island town. we had such an amazing time walking around, window shopping, seeing all the beautiful homes and boats, going to the beach, and visiting one of the oldest lighthouses on the island. it was a dreamlike trip!
