the BIG news...

this sweet, little abode is officially ours!

and we are pretty pumped!

before we started the hunt for our new home, we made a list, like many do, of things that we wanted. we looked at about a dozen homes, and none of them were "it". drew's mom was cutting through our now neighborhood, and saw a man putting a for sale by owner sign in the yard of this cute house. she called me immediately {drew was studying for the bar at this point}, and she sent me a few pictures. i instantly fell in love. the next day i drove into town to look at the house. it had almost everything we were hoping for {except a second bath}, and on my way back to charleston, i told drew that i thought this was it, and so we made plans to return two days later so he could see it. a day after that, we put an offer, and 2 hours after that offer, we had a contract. first time home buying is scary people, but thanks to jesus and joseph {e's hubby}, we found our perfect match!

i literally can not wait to share all the wonderful details, inside and out, but it's going to have to wait, because we have some painting, moving in, yard work, and decorating to do! yay! -j.
