We went picking this weekend and it was so much fun! It will be a yearly thing from now on. The kids can run and play and be loud. You don't have to pack a snack cause they eat a million berries. And its just beautiful, the way they are planted and grow. God sure does an amazing job, huh?
Well...we have strawberries coming out of our ears so I made my fave pie and thought i'd share! Its AMAZING and simple!
Well...we have strawberries coming out of our ears so I made my fave pie and thought i'd share! Its AMAZING and simple!
strawberry pie
-2 store bought pie crust...bake them according to instructions
-Slice strawberries into crust...covering bottom of pie.
-Boil: 2 tbsp corn starch, 1 cup sugar, 1 pkg strawberry jello, 1.5 cups of water. Stir constantly until thickened...about 10 min.
-Pour mixture over strawberries
-Chill pies for 2 hours
-Top with whipped cream (beat heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsps of sugar until still peaks or buy cool whip)
